Located on the aft
sections of Decks Twenty-Six, Twenty-Seven and Twenty-Eight the Main Shuttle
Hangar houses the bulk of the ship’s shuttlecraft and Danube
Class Runabout. Directly below the Main Hangar is a smaller bay
that houses the ship’s Shuttlecraft repair facilities. An auxiliary
shuttle bay is located on the saucer section aft of the bridge and occupies
space on Decks 3 & 4. A Flight
Deck Operations Officer is on-duty at all times and at least one shuttle
craft is ready to go at a moments notice.
All flight operations must be cleared via the bridge and all
non-sanctioned departures and arrivals are immediately reported. |

The USS Swiftsure carries several different types of Shuttlecraft.
They are used in a myriad of roles, from personnel transport
to ground support during combat missions.
The recent addition of a Danube Class Runabout, and its modular
aft section, has further broadened those roles and increased the Swiftsure’s
ability to project her power and influence.
The Main Hangar contains the Runabout, 2 Type-8 Shuttles and 3
Type-6 Shuttles. A fourth Type-6
