Personal History:

Anderson, or Andy to his family, grew up in the backwoods of Maine.  As a child he developed a love for fishing and would spend hours on end with his grandfather at the local lake.  A casting mishap caused a fishing lure to become stuck in his forehead, leaving him with a scar above the left eye.  Anderson was never good at book learning and barely made it through to graduation.  He showed no interest in following in his father’s footsteps as a machinist.  Several of his friends from school decided to enlist in Starfleet and convinced Anderson to join them.  Their hope was to be posted together someday.
            After taking the entrance exams it was decided that Anderson was most suited for a security or tactical positions and his career has moved forward from there.  He spent the first two years of his military career bouncing from one training school to the next.  While he has learned many skills from the training he quickly grew tired of the constant instruction.  The training school commander agreed to arrange for a transfer, but only after Anderson agreed to take one additional ‘voluntary’ class.  True to his word the base commander, upon Anderson’s completion of the six month course, arranged for his assignment to a ship of the fleet.
